Dancing Is Good for Your Brain
Dancing improves brain function on a variety of levels. Two recent studies show how different types of practice allow dancers to achieve peak performance by blending cerebral and cognitive thought processes with muscle memory and ‘proprioception’ held in the cerebellum. Through regular aerobic training that incorporates some type of dance at least once a week anyone can maximize his or her brain function. Combined with a solid Strength and conditioning program these techniques may improve your quality of life.
Just going to a gym for exercise is good. Giving your exercise program and weightlifting efforts a focus and goal will turn your efforts into achievements. Stop going to a gym that only has a room full of stationary machines that does nothing except give you a place to sit and watch TV. Come to my studio. I will design a workout program just for you and your goals. And maybe we can dance a little too 🙂
